The Striale SV-314 is an ideal entry-level exercise bike for anyone who wants to resume physical activity or maintain their daily routine. Its ultra-compact dimensions and folding mechanism make it a perfect bike for small spaces and for home training.
The Striale SV-314 features an integrated backrest, a folding mechanism, a 2 kg flywheel, an adjustable resistance to 8 levels and an LCD screen that displays in real time the duration, the distance traveled, the calories burned, heart rate and pulse. Heartbeat sensors complete the whole.
DESCRIPTION
The Striale SV-314 designed direct from the Ultrasport F-Bike 200b and Klarfit X-Bike 700 is none other than the version with backrest of the now famous Striale SV-312 . We will see what your bike is worth against the competition and if the contribution of the folder justifies the additional 40 € compared to the version without a folder.
Description
The Striale SV-314 is a compact and foldable entry-level exercise bike particularly suitable for occasional use at home (2-3 times per week ). Its folding system with its S-shaped frame saves significant space, which facilitates its transport and storage in a cupboard for example.
Equipped with an inertia wheel of 2 kg, it allows training with low to moderate intensities and is intended mainly for beginners and people resuming sporting activity. The magnetic braking system with double transmissions by 2 belts provides a flexible pedaling and quiet. The resistance (8 positions) is adjusted using the dial located under the handlebars.
The device is equipped with an on-board computer with simultaneous reading of the functions indicating the time, the distance covered, the speed, an approximation of the calories burned, the heartbeats by heart sensors integrated on the handlebars. The Scan function scrolls through the functions every 3 seconds.
The multi-grip handlebar allows you to change the position according to the intensity and size of the user. The saddle is adjustable in height in 5 positions allowing an optimal positioning of the user on the bike. The maximum weight supported by this bike is 100 kg and the maximum recommended height is around 1.80 m.
What differentiates this SV-314 model from the SV-312 is its comfortable integrated backrest in padded foam for better comfort during training. The selling price is 180 € for this version with backrest against 140 € for the basic version without backrest.
Assembly
First, the bike is well packed and the parts tidy. The assembly itself is very simple thanks to its very well-made instructions and the tools provided (allow 1 hour). You may encounter difficulties with some holes that accommodate the screws but nothing too bad. br> Take care to secure the saddle before starting training. You may damage the tube and injure yourself.
This Striale SV-314 is, like the SV-312, an entry-level bike intended for beginners or returning to physical activity. It is a very quiet, efficient, well-designed and practical bike, rather good looking, easy to use and looks solid and of good quality, comfortable and works well, and we haven't encountered any particular problems after 1 month of daily use.
Its system of folding and its compactness make it an ideal bike for those who, like me, do not have a lot of m2 available in their accommodation.
The on-board computer is quite complete and the measurements give you information real time on your performance. Be careful however with the precision of the data which are to be used more as an indication than as reliable statistics. The heart rate sensor works well, but you need to keep your hands on the sensors for a while before you see the pulse.
Efficiency
This bike is designed for daily training with low to moderate intensities. We recommend using 30 to 40 minutes per session, 2 to 3 times per week. Based on a training program regular and long-lasting training, and even if the intensities are low, you will get results. It is ideal for women and men who want to maintain and train daily while burning calories.
Resistance
This bike is intended for a beginner population and is designed for low to moderate intensity. So don't expect a competition bike or a beast of war. And if the 8-position adjustment dial does indeed vary the resistance according to the chosen hardness, the 2 kg flywheel cannot allow large variations in intensity. The maximum level is therefore a little "light". and even if that's enough to start, if you start to be more regular in its use, it can quickly become insufficient.
This bike is therefore not suitable for regular athletes who will have to turn to bikes with heavier flywheels (we recommend a minimum of 8 kg).
Comfort of use
The bike is ultra quiet, practical and pleasant of use for sports at home. Not bulky and comfortable thanks to its saddle and its ergonomic design, the real plus comes from the backrest that equips this bike, especially for those looking for additional comfort and a stable seat during pedaling. Very practical and ideal for not being too tired when you have back problems. This very practical backrest (whether you lean on it or not) supports the back but can also allow you to adopt a less restrictive posture and thus pedal without straining.
Folding / transport / Storage
What makes the strength of the SV range of the Striale brand is the practical folding system that saves space and takes up ultra-small dimensions once the exercise is over. The bike folds and unfolds easily and when folded it easily fits upright in a closet or behind a door. In addition, its weight of 15 kg (one of the lightest in the category) and its integrated wheels allow it to be moved and transported easily.
Quality of manufacture / Durability < br /> The bike is generally of good quality and leaves an impression of solidity. We used it daily with maximum difficulty and so far it holds up. It is possible that bolts and screws will loosen over time and may cause the bike to wiggle a bit during exercise. Two or three turns of the key should remedy this.
The only concern is the electronic counter which seems cheap but at this price, you can't have everything. Also, the jack cable may not be long enough to connect, and you usually just need to pull it carefully and you should be long enough to plug it in. This is a problem that seems to have been fixed on the latest products.
In short, it is a good product. See over time if it stands up to regular practice.

BOTTOM LINE
The SV-314 is a good entry-level bike, especially if you're looking for an exercise bike for low to moderate intensity workouts at home. The bike is as described: easy to assemble, rather pretty, foldable, compact, silent and robust with good value for money.
Its technical characteristics and ease of use will delight beginners. However, the low resistance, the basic functions of the on-board computer as well as the dimensions will not suit more demanding and experienced users as well as large builds, who will have to turn to a more suitable bike.
What differentiates it from the SV-312 is ultimately only the backrest and 40 € more, and even if the usefulness is real, the backrest is expensive. Note that its competitor the Ultrasport 200b offers very similar characteristics to this SV-314 for a lower price.
