REVIEW
Use
The first thing we notice is that the Sway N Fit is a pale copy of the Ab Dance Fitness Center (released in 2016), so as far as revolution is concerned, they'll take a rain check.
It consists of a curved rail on which rests a seat allowing swinging movements, all mounted on 2 legs. It is particularly compact and very low. Not very practical for the exercises.
The seat is slightly more comfortable than the one of the Ab Dance Fitness Center but the principle remains the same. You have to swing from left to right or from front to back.
When you use this machine for the first time, the movement may seem ridiculous, but it really is. Sure it works the muscles of the abdominal belt, but it is not at all ergonomic. There is more chance to make false movements or to compensate than to really work the targeted area.
The Sway N Fit offers a wide variety of exercises that you can perform that will work your obliques and transverse abs smoothly but also the thighs, legs and buttocks that also benefit from the effects of the fitness device. These exercises are more or less successful, as we will see in the effectiveness section.
In addition, a nutritional guide is offered to you to follow the complete Sway N Fit program, which will be your ideal companion in your slimming objective.
Resistance
As far as resistance is concerned, the Sway N Fit offers 3 levels of difficulty that can be adjusted according to the desired resistance. The higher the level, the harder the curved seat is to move along its slide and the more the abdominal muscles are requested.
You can actually feel the difference between the levels, and the resistance is increased.
To adjust the resistance level of the Sway N Fit, simply hook or unhook the resistance elastics that run under the seat. Without the rubber bands, the U-shaped seat simply sways with your body weight, without any resistance. This is a Level 1 workout, perfect for getting familiar with the movement of the seat on the slide. Over time, the resistance level can be adjusted to suit your needs and desires. Simply connect one or both of the unit's resistance bands. The challenge is then increased and the muscles involved in the swinging exercise have to work harder.
Efficiency
Now we come to the most important point, what about the efficiency of this Sway N Fit?
As usual, the promises of transformation of your silhouette (from the 8th week of rigorous exercises) are used as a selling point.
As for the muscle strengthening/sculpting part, if indeed your abdominal muscles and your obliques are working, the movement is far from being the most efficient. Simple abdominal movements on a mat can be much more relevant.
As for the promise of a "slimming solution to eliminate your excess calories", here again you will be disappointed. If indeed the swinging movement increases the number of calories burned compared to a simple ab exercise, the gain is negligible and the movement so unergonomic and fun that you will get tired very quickly.
Space
As far as the size is concerned, the Sway N Fit fulfills all its promises. First of all, the fitness device surprises by its relatively small size. In its deployed form, Sway N Fit is barely 82 cm long by 20 cm wide and 33 cm high.
But moreover, it is foldable, and once folded, the device takes up very little space, unlike other fitness equipment that can sometimes occupy a whole corner of the room. The Sway N Fit fits easily into a small storage space. In addition, the fact that it is foldable makes the Sway N Fit a mobile and portable fitness device. The whole unit weighs only 5.2 kg. This makes it easy to move around the house, or even take it for a session outside.
