The 'Stow a Bike' is a foldable exercise bike, particularly suitable for daily physical maintenance. It has a silent magnetic brake system, a comfortable adjustable seat and 8 resistance levels for progressive work. Its discreet and easy-to-use console allows you to follow the progress of your training in real time.

DESCRIPTION

In the war between foldable bike makers, Confidence is trying to do well.Confidence is no longer trying its hand when it comes to quality, inexpensive fitness equipment. The Confidence Fitness brand, a Palm Springs, California company has been manufacturing a variety of sporting goods for over 40 years. With its experience in the field of sport, The Sports HQ is now official distributor in Europe, selling directly to the public to offer you devices at unbeatable prices. This 'Stow a Bike' folding bike is no exception to the rule.

Its main feature is its quick folding system. Folded, it takes up little space, practical for use in apartments, even if, without wheels it is a bit heavy to move. The overall ergonomics of the bike are well thought out, and its modern look will allow it to even blend into your living room. The finishes are not excellent, but with an average price of 100 €, it remains within the standards of this price range.

Functionality

The on-board computer, simple but practical, calculates in real time the calories expended, the speed, the elapsed time and the distance traveled (the batteries are supplied with the bike, it is rare enough to specify it) .
The counter is not of immense quality, but it is useful for a "fun" use.

Resistance

It has 8 stops of adjustment for resistance, but there is no real difference between the steps. It should be kept in mind that this bike is designed for beginners, people returning to physical activity or aiming for light maintenance.
This bike is suitable for re-education or minimum physical maintenance, but is insufficient if you really want to work out or do interval training.

Comfort of use

The 'Stow a Bike' offers good ergonomics if you you are in a size range between 1.60 and 1.78 m. The adjustable saddle does not indeed allow a great amplitude.
If you are in this range, once on the bike, you will immediately have the right position for the back and the distance from the handlebars is very well calculated. Very good point: the saddle. Often, in this price range, the stools are hard, which prevents you from having more than 15 minutes. On this bike, the saddle is still nice, as long as you don't exceed 30/45 minutes of use.

The whole bike is very strong and of very good quality. The bike is stable, pleasant.
The feet are set enough apart so that the bike does not move whether getting on, pedaling or dismounting. The pedals are of good manufacture , even if a little short, and a strap allows to maintain his foot. The noise of the pedal is correct. Small downside: the pedal mounting straps lack flexibility.

This bike is silent in use, but if sound comfort is essential for you, prefer other exercise bikes like the MXC1 of V-Fit or the Striale SV-312 .

Assembly

Assembly is quick and easy, despite the instructions in English. Be careful, however, to mount the left pedal counterclockwise , unlike the right

BOTTOM LINE 3.0/5

We highly recommend this product for regular use and for maintenance purposes. For 100 € per month, it offers a very good quality / price ratio, even if for us, in this price range, the reference remains the MXC1 de V-Fit .

This bike is very good for those who want to exercise to keep in shape without putting a lot of intensity. You will not be able to do cardio training with it. Recommended for sizes less than 1.75m and for people with no sporting pretensions.
