Despite the fact that iPod and iPhone have grown to a ridiculous level of popularity, that doesn't mean they're the best choice for listening to music. Some support this wholeheartedly, but they might be wrong. Why ? Both are fragile devices that are heavy, bulky, and require you to use a headset. In the end, this is impractical, especially when it comes to jogging, skipping or lifting weights.
DESCRIPTION
This new edition has done away with the magnets, which have been replaced by a simple on / off switch. The magnets, which acted as an on / off button, proved impractical, as many people noticed that a simple shock in the bag could separate the helmet and therefore drain the battery. They have also reduced the weight (42gr vs 35gr oz) and size making them more comfortable and less bulky during any kind of rigorous activity.
However, users still face problems adjusting audio headphones and especially the bass. Sony includes a few different sizes of ear adapters, but you're stuck with a pair of headphones with no adjustment options. The earphones from the previous edition remained the same, so it's 5 + 5 watts with 13.5mm jacks. The W263 only has a few functions. Luckily, in this case, that's a good thing.
Adding music is as easy as plugging it into your computer's USB port and dragging and dropping music files directly from iTunes . The user himself has the same controls as with the previous version, which include shuffle, play, pause, skip track and volume control.
A small LED light changes the battery from green to orange to red to indicate the remaining charge. A full charge takes an hour and a half and, you get 8 hours of listening, where, a charge of 3 minutes can provide approximately 60 minutes of playback. Musically speaking, the W263 is satisfactory. With these 2 GB of storage (there is a 4 GB version, but it is not available in the special edition) the sound spectrum is not the widest, but when you increase the volume, the sound is clean. As we have already mentioned it is sometimes necessary to reposition the ear adapters.
