The Ab Wave is the latest abs machine that is supposed to burn fat and tone your core with a simple swing of the pendulum.
This product, which hit our televisions in recent days, is ultimately no different from other "miracle" devices sold with publicity.
The biggest difference between Ab Wave and all of the other fitness products we've seen before is that Ab Wave is “legitimized” by science with one study claiming it burns more calories. than a treadmill - plus it's been shown to be more effective than sit-ups and leg lifts.
We recently tested other popular fitness machines such as the Ab Prince Pro or the Ab King Pro. Many devices have seen production shut down for false advertising and recently Ab Circle Pro customers have sued and the manufacturer has been forced to reimburse all customers ... the reason? False advertising. Is Ab Wave the exception that proves the rule?
As usual the statements promise record weight loss in just as record time but this time, perhaps for fear of being attacked later, a note appears in small print at the bottom where it reads `` may help. to weight loss only if accompanied by a controlled diet ".
So from the outset they admit the limited range of their machine. As we've said over and over again, no machine or exercise can burn the excess unless it is accompanied by a healthy, balanced diet. In addition, exercise at low or moderate intensity would have only weak effects.
The main "characteristic" of this device is its pendulum movement which, according to the manufacturer, always allows "to get back in shape and to obtain a flat stomach and toned abs". Here's why their claim that side-to-side occlusion is wrong and in no way can define your abs: 1: Abs are always present: Abdominal definition mostly depends on body fat percentage - which, as we have established before - is not influenced by this machine. 2: The progressive load: to build muscle there are a few parameters that must be present, and one of them is the progressive load, which want the stronger you get, the more resistance you will need to continue development. This machine doesn't really offer progressive charging.
Finally we'll end on this ad which claims that this is "Best of all, it's fun and easy - and takes just three minutes a day!" Needless to say that this figure comes straight from Madame Irma. 3 minutes a day on this device or any other device will not do you any good; here's why:
According to their own study, the average person using Ab Wave will burn 390 calories per hour - so ...
373 calories per hour / 60 = 6.2 calories per minute
6.2 calories per minute x 3 = 18.6 calories burned per day
So we established that if you were to use the Ab Wave for 3 minutes per day - you burn a total of 18.6 calories per day; to realize how insignificant this number is, let's try to figure out how long it would take to burn 5kg of body fat on the Ab Wave if you use it for just 3 minutes a day:
3500 calories = 500 g of body fat x 10 = 35,000 calories (for 5 kg of fat)
35,000 calories / 18.6 = 1881 days, or 268 weeks, or 5 years.
On the basic math - the time it would take to lose less than half a kilogram is 26 weeks. 26 weeks to lose less than half a kilogram ...
