According to the builder, the Slanted Riser is an incline board designed specifically for use with the Original Step ™. It is intended for use in aerobic training and for strength training. Available in black and sold in pairs. Includes a 90-minute workout DVD with three 30-minute exercise programs (strength, cardio, and interval training).
DESCRIPTION
The Slanted Risers are a pair of slanted columns designed specifically for use with the Original Club STEP ™. Instead of the traditional flat platform orientation, the Slanted Riser provides an inclined surface from which users can perform aerobic exercises, strength training, or stretching. Slanted Risers can be combined with the Original Club Step flat risers to allow the performance of traditional exercises with variations as well as new exercises specific to the inclined design. Included with the Slanted Risers, a 90-minute DVD with three 30-minute exercise programs to work on either strength, aerobics or interval training.
The Slanted Risers allow the user to perform a wide variety of exercises (aerobic, strength, flexibility) especially when combined with the Original Club Step and its risers. For example , the user can easily switch between an incline or flat bench without changing equipment.
Aside from a greater variety of exercises, the Slanted Risers allow more variations for the same exercise using the effects of gravity on body position, and are adaptable to any level of fitness.
For certain exercises (such as lunges), the Slanted Risers allow, by their inclination, a greater range of motion, which can increase the intensity of the exercise compared to a traditional flat surface.
The inclined columns are portable and easily stored when not in use.
The instructional DVD that accompanies the Sla nted Risers is well done, offering a variety of exercise options while being easy to follow.
CONS
The Slanted Risers must be paired with the Original Club Step, so if you don't already have one, you will have to purchase it.
Relatively high price
The platform surface is uncomfortable for some exercises (It is advisable to place an exercise mat on the platform surface).
