The Hammer Cobra rower from the German brand Hammer MG is a Latin type rower. Faithfully reproducing the movement of a real rower, it will allow you to work out in comfort by engaging both your upper and lower limbs and your cardio.
DESCRIPTION
After seeing that very few opinions on this article were available on the internet, we decided to test this rower.This Hammer Cobra rower is a so-called Latin rower: that is to say, it reproduces the movement of a real "boat" rowing machine, as opposed to traveling rowers.
Description
This device is very well designed and the workmanship is correct. The device is robust, the seat is rather comfortable. As for the majority of this type of rower (known as Latin) it is silent and when used in an apartment the neighbors will not be disturbed. The computer, placed in front of the saddle, is readable and sufficiently easy to program. It is fixed to the seat and therefore moves with the user. It offers simple but practical functions. The stability of the device is adjusted by 3 support points at the front which can be a little tricky to adjust, (you have to find, by screwing or unscrewing the feet, the good fulcrum to find perfect stability when moving. Once properly adjusted, no stability problem is to be notified. 3 quick-release anchor points at the back of the device allow it to be raised up to a height of 40 cm (seat included). This height adjustment makes it possible to completely modify the movement which has the effect of soliciting certain muscles differently (being on a slope requires us to force on the thighs and calves which allows to work preferentially the legs). A heartbeat sensor is integrated in the handles of the folding arms. Small defect, this sensor is not very precise , so just use it as a guide.
Mont age
The assembly seemed fairly easy to us, allow about 1 hour. Be careful though to mount the jacks in the correct direction.Some people on the internet complain that they received the rower with assembly instructions in German (fortunately, the assembly diagrams are good). It is possible to get a PDF assembly manual from the internet if this happens to you
Overall, we were very satisfied with this rower despite small inconveniences. The reproduction of the movement as well as the difficulty settings allow to work very precisely. This product finds its place in this market competitive with apartment rowers, especially since the price is attractive (280 €) compared to the Malibu and Kettler rower, for example. "}}
