The fashion for vibrating platforms has surged in recent years in the world of Fitness (cf. our article ). The MCS testers have decided here to give you an overview of one of the most complete platforms on the market, the Powrx Evolution active 2.7.
Presentation
The Powrx Evolution active 2.7 is a platform that offers vertical vibration, in our opinion providing a better quality workout than an oscillating platform. This device is literally plug and play, press "Start"and everything will be self-explanatory. But although it is easy to use, this does not compromise its quality and efficiency.The vibration frequency (ranging from 20 Hz to 50 Hz), can be adjusted in 5 Hz increments with low amplitude / high optional (how far the platform moves up and down). Check out the buyers guide for more help on these technical terms. Some users prefer to have the ability to increase the frequency settings in simple increments, as shown in the Powrx active Evolution 3.5, but others will appreciate the simplicity of the easy-to-configure increments. Timer settings are also 'easy', since you have a choice of 30 sec, 45 sec to 60 sec (nothing too complicated here).The 4 pre-set programs are interesting and seem to be designed to allow constant progress, but do not seem suitable for confirmed athletes (high level).
We were particularly intrigued by the German patented Dual Power suspension technology and we really wanted to know if this had a real impacton the performance of this vibrating plate. So we set it up alongside another very well-known platform and compare the two. We found that the Powrx clearly had significantly reduced operating noise and 3 of our 4 testers, who had no knowledge of the DPS system, reported a more pleasant vibration. So two definite advantages here.1 . Reduced running noise helps keep neighbors happy
2. A more tolerable vibration which makes exercise more fun and exciting.

To conclude, the active evolution 2.7 is a platform with adapted dimensions, a secure column with an elegant handlebar, well designed and easy to use. From an aesthetic point of view, this platform does not look much different from other high quality vibratory plates, but it has a big advantage since it is much more affordable.The Dual Power suspension technology significantly reduces noise and produces smoother, more tolerable vibrations while remaining very effective.
All additional accessories seem well designed, especially the straps for working the upper limbs, and the vibration reduction mat, which can be placed above the platform, allows more comfortable workout when you want to place your hands on it.If you are looking for a high quality vibrating platform to use at home, then it might be that you found the right fit.
